The Asian Institute of Hospitality Management (AIHM) welcomed faculty members from the Tourism and Hospitality Management Faculty of Bohol Island State University (BISU) for an International Faculty Immersion Programme held in Bangkok from 16 to 21 November 2025.
Hosted by AIHM, founded in 2020 by Minor Hotels, one of the world’s top 10 hotel companies, and delivered in academic association with Les Roches, the immersion programme provided participants with exposure to Swiss-quality hospitality education, global best practices, and industry-driven learning models.
AIHM delivers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Global Hospitality Management, taught in academic association with Les Roches. The programme combines academic excellence with real-world industry immersion, international internships, and global hospitality perspectives, preparing students for leadership careers in hospitality, tourism, and business management across Asia and worldwide.
The immersion programme was attended by Prof. Arlen E. Escabarte, Dr. Francis A. Delusa, Dr. Edgar C. Galendez, Prof. Lara Mariah S. Daling, Dr. Eugenito B. Gaviola, Dr. Rea E. Kibir, Prof. Mark Justine Manuta, Prof. Katleya Concepcion V. Mission, Dr. Agnes I. Estrera, and Dr. Joseph R. Ariate.
As part of the programme, the BISU faculty participated in institutional and industry visits to the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, The Siam Hotel, and The Peninsula Bangkok, gaining first-hand exposure to international hospitality operations and strengthening academic and industry linkages with leading hospitality organisations.
This initiative was made possible through the Sustainable Tourism Education Program Upgrading Project (CHED-STEP UP) of the Commission on Higher Education, with the strong support and leadership of University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso and the BISU Administration.
The collaboration reflects AIHM’s ongoing commitment to international academic partnerships, faculty development, and the advancement of hospitality education in Asia through globally recognised programmes delivered in academic association with Les Roches.
