AIHM was proud to participate in the Thai University Presidential Forum 2026, held at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok.

On 7 August 2026, AIHM executive representatives joined university leaders and representatives from the public and private sectors. The national forum focused on the future of higher education in Thailand.

During the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), addressed participating institutions. He encouraged Thai universities to build on their distinctive strengths and identities. He also drew inspiration from leading universities around the world.

In addition, he highlighted plans for a new Research and Innovation Matching Fund. The initiative aims to support research and innovation that respond to Thailand’s future priorities.

AIHM welcomes this direction and its emphasis on institutional strengths, innovation and future-ready talent. As a higher education institution specialising in hospitality management, AIHM remains focused on delivering world-class hospitality education. We aim to develop the next generation of young professionals ready to lead in the global hospitality industry.

Participation in the Thai University Presidential Forum 2026 also provided an important opportunity for AIHM to engage with the wider higher education community. Through events such as this, AIHM contributes to conversations about education, research, innovation and workforce development in Thailand.
