Course Description

Many organisations develop ambitious strategies but struggle to execute them consistently. Strategic Execution introduces the principles of the Four Disciplines of Execution (4DX), a proven methodology designed to help leaders and teams focus on what matters most and translate priorities into results.

 

This course explores how to identify Wildly Important Goals (WIGs), focus on the activities that drive success, create visible scoreboards, and establish a culture of accountability. Participants will learn how to align daily actions with strategic objectives while maintaining momentum in busy operational environments.

 

In this course, you’ll learn how to prioritise competing demands, measure the right activities, and create systems that sustain execution over time. Come with a strategic initiative or business objective in mind. You’ll leave with a practical execution plan that can be implemented immediately within your team or organisation.

  • Explain the principle of “What gets measured gets improved” and its impact on organisational performance
  • Define the four disciplines of execution: focus, leverage, engagement, and accountability
  • Identify, evaluate, and articulate Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) that drive strategic success
  • Distinguish between lag measures and lead measures to focus effort on activities that influence outcomes
  • Develop lead measures that support achievement of strategic goals and team priorities
